Presenter guidelines

The Department of Bioengineering of the School of Engineering and Sciences of the Tecnologico de Monterrey is welcoming high-quality scientific works to be presented in the Agrigenomics for Food and Health 2022 Congress: Connecting Engineering, Science and Industry (AFH2022).
All the abstracts accepted for presentation in AFH2022 will go through a peer review process, and the best 35 abstracts according to reviewer’s feedback will be published as a research note in the journal Biotechnology, Agronomy and Society and Environment (BASE) (Impact Factor: 1.087, Scopus rank Q2 in three different areas), without any additional cost.
The topics submitted for the AFH2022 must be related to genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics or metabolomics with relation to agriculture, food science and human health. It could be related to basic or applied research, involving human, animal, plant or microorganisms.

All the research work will be submitted as abstracts, and those meeting the following criteria will be accepted as either oral presentations or poster:

1 Language: the abstract must be written in English.

2 Originality: the content has not been presented in another congress or being published in a scientific journal.

3 Quality: the abstract is well written, and the content is clear and understandable.

The participant must indicate their preference of how to present their work (oral or poster), but the scientific committee will make the final decision on how it should be presented, according to the quality of the work and the logistics of the event. The first autor can submit a máximum of 2 abstracts.

The presenting author must be registered to be able to present his(her) work.

The authors must use the attached example to write their abstracts, substituting the text in each part, leaving the same font type and size. The abstract must fit in one page within the margins of the page. One figure or one table can be included within that page.
