Paola Isabel Angulo-Bejarano is a Biochemical Engineer from the Autonomous University of Sinaloa. She obtained her PhD in Plant Biotechnology at CINVESTAV-IPN, Guanajuato Campus in 2013. From 2014-2016 she held a postdoctoral position at UNAM Ecology Institute. Her research focuses on plant tissue culture, genetic modification, transcriptomics and phytochemistry of medicinal plants. She belongs to the National System of Researchers Level I, and to the Mexican Society of Biotechnology and Biochemistry. She has been recognized as Distinguished Professor at the Tecnológico de Monterrey twice. She has published her research in prestigious journals and presented in both national and international meetings.
Victor Rodríguez has a PhD. focused in Molecular Ecology & Evolution from University of Reading, currently working at the Tecnologico de Monterrey. His research interests are focused on the conservation and sustainable use of plants as raw materials for the production and extraction of medicinal and nutraceutical compounds, exploring their genetic background as well as the impact of environmental factors. Nowadays, Victor is working with multiple plant species produced in Central Mexico.
